To connect children to our community and allow opportunities for them to appreciate nature, we provided opportunities for children to go for nature walks with the educators.

Throughout the week, we have been taking two children at a time to search for twigs, bark, branches, leaves and wooden buds. With these nature collections we have been getting children involved in group times, observing closely about our findings and then using these in art and craft experiences.

The children have showed ongoing interest in nature and used collaborative skills with a touch of creativity as they have been making their thoughts into clay designs.
